Antivirus Whitelisting Guide

GPT-Shield is a legitimate privacy protection tool. Some antivirus software may flag it as unknown. Follow these steps to whitelist GPT-Shield and ensure uninterrupted protection.

Why does this happen?

GPT-Shield uses advanced behavioral monitoring to detect when you are typing in an AI chat window. Because this behavior (monitoring active windows and keystrokes) is similar to how "spyware" works, Antivirus heuristics often flag it, even though it is safe and signed with an EV Certificate. To function, we need permission to "hook" into your browser inputs.
